Team work 🙂

We got a call yesterday about a Barn Owl that was pulled from the water in Lough Derg. It was in poor shape 😕and needed help right away . Barn Owls do not like rain and definitely do not like going for a swim 🏊. There was a lot of team work on rescuing this one. first we had Inland Fisheries Ireland who found it on one of their patrols on lough Derg. They called NPWS who in turn contacted The Barn Owl project. It was picked up by one of our Galway team within 30 mins who got it to one of the rehabilitation experts we work with in Co Clare The Hogsprickle Wildlife Carers - Wildlife advice, care and rehabilitation and rehabilitation where Bev assessed and gave it critical care rehydration solution and some pain relief. It moved on to Bat Rehabilitation Ireland down in limerick yesterday evening for more care 👌fingers crossed for this beautiful male Barn Owl 🤞🤞. It's great story whereby different groups, both government agencies and voluntary organisations working together to help wildlife... great work by all! It's getting the best of care from both Bev and Susan who have the hardest job of all ❤️❤️
